Vehicle Shipping

Safe international vehicle transit

One of our most popular services is the shipment of cars to many international ports. There are several different options for shipping your car. If you plan to ship your vehicle along with your personal effects, both can be loaded into a steel shipping container. Alternatively, you may wish to ship your car in a steel container on its own. Your car would be loaded, lashed & secured within the container to ensure a safe transit.

We also provide a roll on, roll off service to many international locations. This service involves your car being driven onto a ship at the port of sailing and driven off at destination. There are dedicated vessels that provide this service and the interior is similar to that of a multi storey car park.

Regardless of the method, we will ship your vehicle with the care you would expect so that it arrives safely at its destination. For more information, speak to a member of our knowledgeable team.

Truck & Plant Shipping

Freight House Logistics has a department which specifically deals with shipping large trucks, plant and construction equipment.

Rates for large trucks, machinery and plants are calculated based on the size and weight of the vehicle, you only pay for the space your vehicle takes up. So we will need the dimensions/weight before we can give you a quote. These must be accurate as all vehicles are weighed and measured when they arrive at the port and charges will be based on these measurements

Trucks and plants are too big to be loaded in a container, therefore they will have to be shipped by roll on roll off. We can collect your vehicle on a low loader and take it to any UK port, it will then be stowed and secured on the vessel and shipped to the port of your choice.

Most destinations allow trucks to be loaded with other vehicles and goods but at owner’s risk and there is a loaded surcharge which varies based on shipping line and vessel used.

Vehicle Collection & Delivery

Freight House Logistics offer trade plate or road transporter service to deliver your vehicle to port. After many years of providing this service for our clients we are able to provide the complete package from start to finish for each and every collection.

Vehicle transporter service is ideal for clients whose vehicles although may be road worthy do not have a valid M.O.T – vehicles must be in working order to be driven on and off the carrier.

Driven collections offer a great value for money and are by the most popular method of collection. Your vehicle does not need to have road tax or insurance simply just a valid M.O.T will suffice.

Driven collection require vehicle to be in a good roadworthy condition.

Vehicles must have a valid mot certificate that the driver will want to see on collection.

Vehicles must have sufficient fuel for the entire journey. If the driver has to stop to add fuel an additional charge will apply .

It is the vehicle owners responsibility to ensure vehicle has breakdown cover.

Rates for this service depend on distance between collection address and port of delivery.
